Connectors
Connectors
How 3AM connects to your tools, what "certified" means, and which connectors are available.
A connector is how 3AM talks to one of your tools. Each one declares what it can do:
| Capability | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Alerts in | Its alerts or failures open incidents in 3AM |
| Metrics and queries | 3AM reads evidence from it to prove a root cause |
| Actions | 3AM can make approved changes through it |
| Approvals | People approve or reject 3AM's proposals in it |
| Code | Repositories 3AM searches |
| Tickets / CMDB | Incident records, and service ownership |
Certified connectors
A certified connector has passed 3AM's full certification on the real product:
- Contract: behaves correctly against the vendor's documented API: authentication, pagination, rate limits, errors.
- Live: the same checks against the real product, with the least permissions this guide asks you to grant.
- Safety: wrong credentials or an unreachable host give a clear message; secrets never reach the audit log; rehearsals change nothing.
- End to end: real failures go through 3AM to the right root cause, the right action (or the right refusal to act), and verification.
| Connector | Alerts in | Evidence | Actions | Approvals | What 3AM understands | Certified |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PagerDuty | ✓ pages | notes on the page | ✓ | ✓ | ||
| Kubernetes | ✓ pod and rollout failures | ✓ | restart, scale, rollback | bad releases, dependency outages, OOM, config, images, scheduling | ✓ | |
| Prometheus / Alertmanager | ✓ alerts | ✓ PromQL | silences | broken monitoring (targets, rules, config, notifications) | ✓ |
Available, certification in progress

Adding a connector
In the console: Settings → Add a connection (or the setup wizard). Fill in the form, select Test connection to see what 3AM can reach, then Save. To manage connectors as code, see Configuration files.
